Alexander Koby, 'soulparabole', was born in the USSR, and presently lives and takes photographs in London.

Black and White analogue photography is the subject matter I work at and live by. The authenticity of this particular medium is perfect for expressing realism, and makes me think of and visualise myself, within traditions of the search for goodness, nobility and moral values to devote myself to. The achievement of life and movement, to embody and part with. The final act of creation, which takes place in the darkroom, home for hope, pure spiritual joy of seeing things and feeling beings.

As long as I can remember myself breathing, there was heart, always involved, by turns poetic and romantic, by straights raw and emotionally driven. Autobiography of realism, which implies love for the eternal, and removes the blindfold from the eyes of those who have them. Experience of life in Black and White, as a work of pure poetry through which we can glimpse the divine, the sublime, the mysterious – life itself. There the daylight creates pure composition for the witness, to immortalise history in those faces and amongst those places.

Believing, when the poetic appropriately comes to light, then men dwell humanely on the earth. The voice of thought must be poetic, because poetry is the saying of truth. Appearances become the language of a lived life. The sensuality's voice, which is encompassing, reaching well beyond the printed testament, and thus introducing the photographic message which is continuous and exclusively human. The photographs are my heart-sensitive testimony of poetical resistance, against the walls of those fundamental complexities and anxieties of our present time.
